The CCT Materials Research Institute test for permanency of anti graffiti coatings simulates weekly cleaning over a one year period.

To be classified 'Permanent', coatings must be capable of withstanding long-term, regular cleaning without adverse effects upon either their apperance or integrity.

Coatings that suffer a loss of film thickness as a result of the cleaning operation are classified 'semi-permanent'.

Permanent markers and aerosol spray paint were efficiently and effectively removed from this anti graffiti coating throughout the test programme and visual appearance and integrity of the coating remained unaltered. Throughout the test there was never a requirement to use harmful or aggressive graffit removal products.

This is the only coating classified permanent by the Centre of Corrosion, distinguishing it from other systems that erode a finite amount each time they are cleaned.
